Autism is a widely spread disorder that impacts the development of the brain. It was thought to be secluded to the western world until the late 1980s and now is being found more often in other parts of the world like Asia, Africa and South America. While there are many stereotypes and beliefs about autism, most are untrue and have no basis. This website and group is trying to dissolve these rumors and show the other true side of autism. AIS (Autism in Schools) is an organization that focuses on the perspectives of children in schools who happen to have autism, and what we can for these programs in schools that often have limited funding. We hope to persuade you to help these programs and open your eyes to the truths about autism in schools. We will be presenting the Stephen F. Austin High School LifeSkills class as the main portal for our documentary and autism in schools.
